CVEC Hosts Trucks and Treats
One of the ways Concho Valley Electric Cooperative gives back to the communities it serves is by hosting its annual Trucks and Treats Halloween event. A spin on the traditional trunk-or treat experience, children are able to explore an array of specialized vehicles, including those used for public safety, utility and construction purposes.
The interactive touch-a-truck event was held at San Angelo Stadium and attracted a crowd of more than 3,000. To create an engaging experience, the vehicles’ doors were left open to allow participants to interact with the trucks and machinery.
Community organizations that participated in the event were AirMedCare Network, Texas A&M Forest Service, Semper Fresh Kettle Corn, United Rentals, TransCor America, Water Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Bahama Buck’s, Kona Ice, Carlsbad VFD, Grape Creek VFD, Texas Game Wardens, Texas Department of Public Safety, Wall VFD, Atmos Energy, Republic Services, Texas Leadership Charter Academy, Lucio’s Construction, Railway Museum of San Angelo, ASCO Equipment and Goodfellow Air Force Base Fire Emergency Services.
Concho Valley EC appreciates all the businesses, members and visitors that participated in Trucks and Treats and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community.
