After registering for service, here's what to expect:
Site Survey
During this step, CVEC will meet with you to determine the path the fiber will take across your yard from the pedestal, or pole, to your home.
Installation Outside Home
We will work the “service drops” outside of your home. This includes the three following steps:
- Installing the duct and fiber from the pedestal (or pole) to the side of your home
- Hanging the NID (network interface device) outside of your home
- Testing the equipment to ensure it can connect to the network
These steps will occur on different days as we work through the service drop process.
Connection Inside Home
Once the service drop is complete, our fiber installer will schedule a time to complete the install from the outside connection to the modem inside the home.
