Tree Trimming Services
Safety First
CVEC members' and employees' safety is first and foremost. Every year people are injured or even killed when they clime or prune trees near power lines. This is why CVEC and other electric utilities are required by law to maintain our right of way to ensure a safe and reliable flow of power to homes and businesses.
Never climb into a tree that is near or contacting a power line. Never bring anything within 10 feet of a power line.
CVEC's Role
Tree trimming and removal is an important maintenance program offered by Concho Valley Electric. Overhanging branches too close to power lines can create hazardous conditions and cause power interruptions, especially during severe weather.
Help us maintain the right-of-way and decrease the chance of outages caused by broken limbs by reporting trees on your property that are either near or touching the co-op’s lines. Call our office or use the form below to request tree trimming services. CVEC will send a specially trained crew with the proper tools and equipment to trim or remove the tree.
Your Role
When planning your home's landscape, it is important to select the right tree for the right place. Because different trees have different mature heights, plan carefully where you plant each tree. Good landscaping utilizes shrubs and low-growing trees that are compatible with electric utility lines. Low-growing trees will not normally reach electric utility lines, and therefore will help prevent power interruptions to you and your neighbors.
