Four Students Awarded $2,000 Scholarships
Concho Valley Electric Cooperative is committed to the education of our members and their children – our leaders of tomorrow. That’s why the co-op offers scholarships to high school seniors and postsecondary students.
“Our wish for each of these students is that this scholarship opens doors, inspires bold dreams, and reminds them that their community believes in them every step of the way.” said Abby Rollwitz, Public Relations Specialist.
Funding for these scholarships come from money that would normally be escheated to the state. A portion of each year's escheated funds from unclaimed capital credit accounts are designated by the State Comptroller's Office to be used for scholarship purposes. This is another benefit delivered from your cooperative. CVEC appreciates the opportunity to bring this service to our members.
