Scholarship And Youth Tour Applications Are Open
Education, training and information is one of the seven principles that guide all co-ops, including Concho Valley Electric Cooperative. Two of CVEC’s most important programs that support education are now open for high school students to apply.
Scholarships
High school seniors and individuals beyond their senior year of high school may apply. To be eligible, applicants must be an active CVEC member or a dependent of active CVEC members and whose primary residence is served by CVEC.
Applications are available here and must be submitted to Concho Valley EC by 5 p.m. March 31,2025. Students can also visit their high school counselor for an application. Four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in April.
Government-in-Action Youth Tour
High school students can earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., June 15–22, 2025. The Government-in-Action Youth Tour is a youth leadership program sponsored by Concho Valley EC and organized by Texas Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. For more than 50 years, electric cooperatives across the nation have sent young adults to the nation’s capital for this action-packed trip.
Highlights of the trip include meeting congressional leaders, visiting national monuments, touring museums, and meeting other students from across the nation.
Eligible applicants must be a high school sophomore, junior or senior and a dependent of an active Concho Valley EC member whose primary residence is served by CVEC.
